Seven Stories - The National Centre for Children's Books

A free-entry community city farm and charity in the heart of the Ouseburn Valley, home to pigs, goats, sheep and poultry, with education, training and volunteering alongside family visits.

The Biscuit Factory

Stepney Bank Stables

An equestrian centre and registered charity in the Ouseburn Valley offering horse-riding lessons for children and adults, plus youth and community programmes - one of the few inner-city riding schools in the UK.

Victoria Tunnel

A preserved 19th-century waggonway tunnel beneath Newcastle, later a WWII air-raid shelter, cared for by the Ouseburn Trust. Guided tours (book ahead) descend underground from the Lime Street meeting point.

The People's Theatre
