About Heaton Buffs Club

Heaton Buffs Club is a members' social club at the southern end of Heaton Road, affiliated to the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, one of the country's older fraternal and charitable orders. Its own description of itself is built around beer and music, which is fair enough for a club whose Saturday nights centre on a live band playing two sets, with a small cover charge on the door. Alongside the bar there are two snooker tables, a pool table, a dartboard with digital and chalk scoring, and screens for the major sporting fixtures.

The club also hires out its function room to outside bookings, quoting a range from around 20 up to 250 people, which makes it one of the larger single rooms available anywhere in Heaton itself. It takes bookings for birthdays, retirements, fundraisers, funeral teas, office parties and corporate events, and the club can advise on catering, DJs, discos and live bands rather than leaving a first-time organiser to source everything separately.
