About Northumbria Students' Union

Northumbria Students' Union is the students' union of Northumbria University, based in its building at 2 Sandyford Road on the university's City Campus in Newcastle city centre. It provides representation, clubs, societies and support services for Northumbria students, and its building includes bars and event spaces used for gigs and functions through the year.

Each spring, usually in April around the Easter break, the building hosts the Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, run by volunteers from the Tyneside and Northumberland branch of CAMRA. The 2027 festival is confirmed for 7 to 10 April 2027. From Heaton, Haymarket Metro station and buses along Shields Road and Heaton Road put the venue within easy reach.
