About Newcastle Foodbank

Newcastle Foodbank, formerly known as Newcastle West End Foodbank, provides emergency food parcels to people in crisis across the city. Guests need a valid voucher, which can be obtained through a referral agency, a Pathways session or by contacting the foodbank directly.

In the east of the city it runs a Wednesday afternoon session at Heaton Baptist Church on Heaton Road and a Thursday afternoon session at St Silas Church on Clifford Street in Byker. Volunteers aged 18 and over help distribute parcels, support pantry sessions and work in the warehouse, on weekdays only.
