About Heaton Community Centre
Heaton Community Centre is a charitable community centre in the heart of Heaton, based in the Heaton Complex on Trewhitt Road and constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. It sets out to be a focal point for the area, empowering local people to manage their own community facility and to develop educational, social and leisure opportunities for the neighbourhood and future generations. It sits close to Chillingham Road Metro station and is well served by local bus routes.
The centre provides childcare including full day-care nursery places, an out-of-school club with a holiday play scheme, and on-site and off-site crèche services. Alongside this it hosts a range of community groups, offers room hire and can signpost families to wider support services. With its mix of childcare, community groups and event space, it acts as a busy hub for residents across Heaton.
