About City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy

City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy is a dedicated gymnastics club and registered charity based at the Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence, next to Benfield School just east of Heaton. Its facilities feature flexible, purpose-designed spaces that let several training groups work simultaneously across different levels and disciplines, supporting the club's mission to develop gymnastics throughout the North of England for participants of all abilities. The academy holds British Gymnastics GymMark accreditation and is affiliated with Sport Newcastle.

The programme spans recreational and competitive gymnastics for children and young people, with drop-in sessions for younger ages, pre-school classes, SEN Stay and Play sessions, adult gymnastics and one-to-one coaching. Competitive pathways cover Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics, TeamGym and General Gymnastics. The club also runs school partnership programmes, birthday parties and multi-day gymnastics holiday camps during the school holidays.
