About Chillingham Road Sports and Arts Centre

Chillingham Road Sports and Arts Centre is a community sports and arts venue on Ninth Avenue, just off Chillingham Road in Heaton. It brings together indoor sport, creative space and community rooms under one roof, serving as a local hub for classes, clubs and events in the east of the city. Its facilities are available for public hire, making it a base for a mix of grassroots activity across the surrounding neighbourhood.

The centre's spaces include a sports hall with a climbing wall, an art studio, a sensory room and a community room, all of which can be booked. Several regular sports and activity groups meet at the centre and are open to the public, including kendo, karate and Zumba, alongside other classes hosted through the year.
