About Ouseburn Community Centre

Ouseburn Community Centre is a community hub on Mowbray Street serving the Ouseburn and Byker area of east Newcastle. The building is fully accessible and part solar-powered, and overlooks the nearby stadium and a children's play park, with on-site parking. Run by a team of staff, volunteers and trustees, it aims to welcome all members of the local community into a modern, adaptable space.

The centre is busy with activities throughout the week, from Spanish and Italian language classes, yoga and martial arts to a baby and toddler group, cooking and food education, community church groups and a Men's Pie Club, as well as support for adults and young people with learning difficulties. It offers a main hall for up to around 100 people, meeting rooms and dedicated childcare space, along with an after-school and holiday club, all available for hire by local groups and for private events.
