About Hide Bistro & Bar
Hide Bistro & Bar is an independent bistro and bar at 233 Chillingham Road in Heaton, a suburb in the east of Newcastle upon Tyne. It sits among the run of independent food and drink businesses that line Chillingham Road, Heaton's main shopping street, and was added to the Michelin Guide in July 2025, placing it alongside the area's other recognised kitchens.
The restaurant is built around a tasting-menu style of dining and opens seven days a week, combining an ambitious kitchen with the relaxed, neighbourhood character of this part of Heaton. As with any tasting-menu venue, booking details and current menus are best confirmed directly with the restaurant before visiting.
