Di Meo's Ouseburn
Family-run Italian ice cream parlour and café on the Ouseburn riverside, making ice cream in the North East since 1918.
About Di Meo's Ouseburn
Di Meo's is a North East ice cream family whose business dates back to 1918 and whose recipe goes back to 1925. The Ouseburn café sits on Riverside Walk where the valley opens out towards the Quayside, an easy walk downhill from Heaton.
The cabinet includes a pistachio made with Bronte pistachios and a strawberry made with at least half fruit, and the range has won Great Taste awards and gold medals. The café also serves coffee and pizza, and it gets busy on warm weekends.
