About This Event

Gary Cain is a Canadian-born, UK-based guitarist and singer whose playing plants one foot firmly in the blues and the other in seemingly everything else, drawing on influences from Albert King to AC/DC for a genre-bending, high-energy sound. His fret-work has earned him an opening slot for George Thorogood, a semi-final finish at the International Blues Challenge and a ranking as the world's fourth-best independent blues guitarist in Lee Ritenour's Six String Theory. He brings the full band to the riverside for a free afternoon of blues, funk and rock, with material spanning his critically acclaimed albums Next Stop and Outside The Lines, the latter racking up more than a million streams and charting on the UK's Independent Blues Broadcasters' Top 40. Expect fiery, improvisational guitar work and a proper good-time groove in one of the Ouseburn's best-loved music pubs.
