Cafe Spice is a family-run Indian restaurant and takeaway on Chillingham Road in the heart of Heaton, where it has been trading since 1999. It offers both eat-in and takeaway service, drawing on Indian street food influences alongside a broad curry-house repertoire. A neighbourhood fixture on this busy shopping street, it has built a following over more than two decades of serving the local community.
The menu spans familiar starters such as onion bhaji, samosas, chicken tikka and tandoori wings, through to a full range of curries including korma, madras and vindaloo, plus tandoori dishes, biryani and kebabs served on naan. There is an extensive vegetarian selection featuring paneer and vegetable dishes, alongside house Punjabi and Bangladeshi specialities and chef's recommendations. Rice, breads and side dishes complete the offering, with soft drinks, beer and wine also available.
