Catch the Sparrow

About This Event

Catch the Sparrow is the project of Dutch-born singer-songwriter Suze Terwisscha van Scheltinga, a jazz-trained vocalist who turned to folk after moving to the North East and became a fixture on the Newcastle folk scene before relocating to London. Her story-led songs draw on folk ballads and fairytales, populated by scorned wives, sheltered princesses, poets and cross-dressing adventurers. This is a welcome return to the Cumberland Arms, where her album launch sold out.
