BALTIC lays on free drop-in family activities over the summer, with hula hooping workshops and a lively Drag Storytime session for ages 3-7 in the Learning Lounge. It is a colourful, no-booking way to combine play with a visit to the galleries. BALTIC, the landmark converted flour mill on the Gateshead quayside, is free to enter and home to changing contemporary art exhibitions, with river views from its upper floors.
